Background
About 48% of the current world' population is using the Internet (ITU), and English has become the de facto 'mother-tongue' of Internet. However, from the current total world population of ~7.5 Billion people, only 1.5 Billion speak / write good English. That is because, from a total of 195 Countries in the world, 67 nations have English as their primary language of 'official status', and in 27 more Countries English is used as a secondary 'official language'. There are still ~100+ Countries that don't use English as their primary / secondary language. A huge gap exists in the number of contemporary internet users vis-a-vis their ability to express themselves using the mother-tongue of Internet i.e. English while communicating.
A 'thought' in human mind is processed in the form of an 'image', and human brain processes ~700 thoughts / images per minute. It is often difficult to translate these images into meaningful "Xpressions" which are a primary cause behind communication gaps; this only gets further compounded by distance & lack of in-person communication between individuals.
What is XpressUp?
XpressUp provides a Text-Editor cum Xpressions search engine that uses an in-built dynamic dictionary of Xpressions supported with search-filters. It is a step forward to reduce communication gaps by providing combinations & permutations of words to form brief yet meaningful Xpressions. These Xpressions have been recorded over a long period of time by observing various glib speakers & orators across the world.
What it is not?
• It is not a Dictionary, Thesaurus, Grammar & Spell-check site / tool.
• It is not for you if you aren’t already familiar with English language at a rudimentary level.
